The Founder:
Jean Lobe, a graduate in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brooks University, has held various positions since 2010. He began his career as a bank operator at Union Bank of Cameroon. In 2011, he joined Audit and Accounting Corporation (AUDICO) as a financial auditor. Driven to innovate in the medical field and alleviate long hospital queues, he has made mental health his primary focus. He has dedicated himself to telehealth to promote accessible, community-based medicine, which is less bureaucratic and capable of restoring human dignity at affordable costs for all.
The idea to develop the Waspito application originated with Jean following the passing of his father due to a heart attack in Kumba, despite numerous unsuccessful attempts to locate a cardiologist. This profound experience deeply impacted the native of the South-West. His current endeavor is to establish telemedicine to tackle the challenges of accessing healthcare in a country and a continent where this issue remains complex.
