What they do:

Paps Logistics is an end-to-end logistics provider optimizing supply chain operations for businesses in Africa. They have built a suite of tech-enabled solutions that offers package tracking, optimized back-office operations, and clear pricing. This improves efficiency and reduces logistics costs for customers.

Why we invested:

Logistics in Africa is inefficient (mainly due to lack of adequate public infrastructure) and expensive. The average cost of the last mile is an average of 55% of the total cost of the product delivered compared to the average of 28% worldwide. With its regional focus, optimized tech, and strong operational execution, Paps is positioned to outcompete fragmented incumbents and global challengers unfamiliar with the Francophone African terrain.

Founding Team:

Bambo Lo is the founder and CEO. He began his career as a sales manager with a travel agency and then went on to become a Key Account Manager at start-ups Arkadin and Momindum, where he excelled at managing key accounts. Building on this experience, Bamba Lo joined The Organisation Patronale des Petites Entreprises as Commercial Director in 2014. He brought his leadership and strategic vision to drive the growth and efficiency of the organisation, which he left around a year and a half later. He then launched Elite Business Consulting (EBC), which offers a wide range of services to help entrepreneurs identify new business opportunities in France, Tunisia and Senegal. What started as a hub to help companies outsource their sales became a call centre specialising in lead qualification and generation.

After this initial entrepreneurial experience, Bamba returned to the workforce and became Chief Commercial Officer at ELISE Technologies between 2015 and 2016. He then moved to Senegal to co-found PAPS in 2016.
