Jem builds HR Software for companies with frontline workers. Using WhatsApp, Jem makes it easy for HR and Payroll Managers to send payslips, process leave requests and communicate with thousands of frontline workers in just a few clicks. Jem is system-agnostic and easily plugs into a company’s existing payroll system and can get businesses up and running in a day. HR and Payroll managers use the Jem Dashboard to communicate with their entire workforce. Frontline employees use the Jem WhatsApp channel to request payslips, apply for leave or take a salary advance without the need for a self-service app

Why we invested:

Remote work and frontline workers are becoming a prominent component of staffing which requires differentiated and scalable approaches to standard and statutory employment documentation such as payroll, payslips and general worker communication, which JEM facilitates for employers through the ubiquitous Whatsapp platform.

When we invested, jem had a significant roll of enterprise companies adopting the product, presenting good growth prospects as well as plentiful upselling opportunities across employer clients and a strong and diverse founding team
