Why we invested:

Credrails caught our investment attention for its innovative open banking APIs, offering a robust suite of solutions that retrieve, consolidate, and analyze bank statements. With a focus on data accuracy, the platform sources information directly from major banks and scrapes statements from smaller ones. Its versatile applications encompass statement retrieval for credit decisions, an analytics product using machine learning to categorize financial data, and integration for companies, including FX trading, seeking to reconcile transactions. The startup's imminent MVP pilot for payment services, coupled with plans for KYC service launch, positions Credrails as a pioneering force in fintech innovation.

Founding Team:

Clara Odero is the Co-founder and the CEO of Credrails. Before building Credrails she worked at a number of companies such as Nium, Rapyd and Flutterwave.

Teresia Kairu is also a Co-founder and the COO of Credrails. Prior to this she was the COO at Bitpesa a treasury management business with a presence in 8 countries.
