Wahu is creating an ecosystem for e-mobility solutions in Africa

What they do:

Wahu Mobility is Africa’s pioneering designer and local manufacturer of connected eco-friendly electric vehicles. We have established the first electric vehicle CKD manufacturing plant in Accra, Ghana, to produce and launch our flagship Wahu eBikes.

Our signature eBikes connect delivery riders to our digital platforms to democratize access to flexible payment plans, affordable maintenance, insurance and other financial services. Wahu Mobility is at the forefront of creating an ecosystem for e-mobility solutions on the continent.

Why we Invested:

Wahu Mobility presents a compelling investment opportunity driven by Africa's burgeoning gig economy and the rapid growth of the electric vehicle (EV) market. With an estimated 80 million gig economy workers projected by 2030 and the African EV market valued at $11.94 billion in 2021, poised to reach $21.39 billion by 2027, Wahu Mobility strategically positions itself at the intersection of these high-growth sectors. Led by a seasoned team with extensive experience in leading social enterprises and automotive engineering, Wahu Mobility is well-equipped to capitalize on the market opportunity.

The company's innovative product suite demonstrates its commitment to providing comprehensive solutions tailored to the needs of African riders.
