Spleet is an online marketplace for residential rentals and rent financing
What they do:
In Nigeria and parts of Africa, a major struggle for both landlords and tenants is that tenants are required to pay 1-2 years upfront rent while landlords need a means of adequately verifying their tenants and collecting rent with ease. Spleet supports landlords by providing a platform to advertise their property, automate rent collection, manage their property and verify the tenants' identities. Spleet also provides tenants with a comfortable means of looking for properties to rent through the Spleet marketplace where they can pay their rent monthly and provide financial assistance through the Rent Now Pay Later (RNPL) product.
Why we invested:
For the tenant, Spleet simplifies the rental process by providing flexible rental and payment options and eliminates bureaucracy and expedites the search process. For landlords, Spleet makes renting quicker and safer by providing accurate information on the tenant and ensuring rental payments are made as and when due.
