With access to abundant geothermal energy from the Rift Valley, Octavia Carbon is positioning itself to become a leader in direct air capture (DAC), a method that captures carbon dioxide directly from the atmosphere. Leveraging Kenya's unique geothermal resources and affordable, skilled talent, Octavia’s innovations aim to drastically reduce the cost of carbon removal, targeting below $100 per ton in the coming years. This initiative could make Kenya a major player in global carbon capture efforts.
