Bosso is a platform that enables prospective homebuilders to access, from one place, all the key products and services required to build a home. This has allowed homebuilders to access building materials, construction companies, access to land and access to financial products (mortgages and layby payments) all in one place. In essence, we are on a mission to solve Africa's 60M housing shortage and we are leveraging technology to build products that make it easy for people in build easily and affordably.
Why we invested:
Bosso’s strong traction and continued growth in revenue, B2B client acquisition growth, as well as the business’s forecasted growth based on market and client pipeline, all make the opportunity an attractive one for Launch Africa ventures.

Founding Team:
Ibn Kafwanka is the Co-Founder and COO of Bosso. Ibn worked at LafargeHolcim, the largest cement company in the world and has been cardinal in developing operations, sales and construction-sector partnerships. He’s an experienced sales and operations leader having led sales for a number of well-known brands in Zambia.
Salwa L. Shamapande is the Co-Founder and CFO of Bosso. Salwa is an investment banker by trade and worked for CitiBank and Bank of America in New York before retiring to become an entrepreneur. He’s a successful 3x entrepreneur that ran a film company in the US (that once won an Emmy Award), a food media company in Zambia, and now Bosso. He brings a wealth of financial knowledge which has been cardinal in creating financial systems for Bosso and helping immensely in the pre-seed fundraise.
Chisepo Chirwa is the Co-Founder and CEO of Bosso. Chiseop has been an entrepreneur since age 10 having worked with his mother to launch a family business. He launched ZPOS, one of Zambia’s most used inventory management apps before leaving to launch Bosso. Chisepo’s strength is in building functional teams that deliver results.
Mukopaje Singogo is the Co-Founder and CTO. Mukopaje is a tech professional that has close to 15 years of technology experience. Before Bosso, he led development of a logistics application for one of the largest transport companies in Zambia and went on to build ZPOS, one of Zambia’s most used inventory management apps for small retailers. That experience is cardinal in building Bosso’s technology products
